Nope. You're right. At most, he sacrificed 3 days of human existence. That's it. The other one that gets me is the belief that no one has suffered a worse torture/death than Jesus. Many people have suffered longer and harder than Jesus.

Raised On the Third Day?
by TTATTelder ini have some potentially controversial questions.. i have always wondered about these things in the back of my mind, but i would immediately dismiss them.
now i am giving myself permission to explore them further.... a lot of attention is given to how big the sacrifice was on the part of jesus and god when jesus laid down his life.
as the story goes, jesus gave his life for our sins and then was miraculously raised back to life a couple of days later.. consider this.

wt dec life story Bill Walden
by bobld intalk about brainwashed.he was serving in ghana when he learned that his mother's health had become very poor.. friends suggested that he return home to care for her.what was his reply:"that was the hardest decision we ever had to make.. he did return to help her (poor sick mother)to get to meetings.. to me that is a no brainer.if my mother was sick,i would be there in a heart beat.however,to a cult member who is selfish and.
lacks compassion that would be a hard decision..

Such loving christians they are. And, of course, the more prominent and exemplary the witness, the greater the difficulty in relinquishing those privileges of service.

I agree SFPW. Because Jax came across so sanctimonious, he's more unlikeable than Clay at this point. And don't even get me started on Gemma. All that crying this past episode and acting like she has always hated Clay... I don't think so.

Excellent writing and antagonist/protagonist situations. Someone told us to watch the 1st 3 episodes and we'd get hooked. We really did! It's a very good story with good character development.
And it's also time for them to wrap it up. It can only be dragged on for so long.
ETA: Yeah there are a few brutal scenes throughout the episodes. If you can let someone who's watched it know what episodes you're on they can give you a heads up on when to look away for a couple minutes. I can't stand torture or brutal killing/rape scenes.

My adorable 5 year son explaining the meaning of life
by jwfacts ini asked my son quite randomly before bed what he thinks the meaning of life is.
like always, his answer brought a smile to my face.

AGM "The Governing Body appeared so human, I enjoyed them taking the time to speak to us!"
by AuntConnie ina higher education is of no value when you allow yourself to slowly be baked in to the cult.
the remarks above came from a sister who has a college degree in social science and biology and loved logic and critical thinking.
we at jwn sometimes assume a higher education might help people see through the smoke and mirrors which did not happen in this case.

A brother asked the congregation how they would know someone was anointed. The answers varied from, "They are always sooooo humble, approachable, and spiritual", to "They definitely have an aura, a glow about them".
I never quite figured out which answer he was looking for.
